Jackson State's Workforce Solutions provides non-credit educational and training opportunities to West Tennessee businesses and citizens. Our team includes faculty members from JSCC academic divisions and qualified professionals with business, manufacturing, and education backgrounds. We use effective instruction methods, quality training content, and flexible scheduling to produce the results needed for our clients. Workforce training is available as either open enrollment or private training tailored to your company's specific needs. Please note
Financial Aid is not available through Workforce Solutions outside of select grant opportunities. No FAFSA or application to Jackson State is required to enroll in any Workforce Solutions coursework. Courses taken do not count toward college credit. Only non-credit training is conducted through Workforce Solutions.
What Workforce Solutions Offers
We offer a variety of in-person classes that can be held at any JSCC facility or other offsite training location that meets the room set-up requirements.
JSCC Workforce has partnered with Ed2Go, ProTrain, CE Shop and Home Prep to offer a wide range of highly interactive courses that will bolster your career readiness. These fully online courses are affordable, convenient, and geared just for you.
Jackson State's Workforce Solutions has extensive experience working with both small and large businesses to explore the current state of the workforce, and to plan in advance for short- and long-term training needs. We can assist in your pre-employment assessment, gap analysis, workforce training, process improvement and more.
The TSBDC provides advice, consulting, and educational opportunities to help business owners become better business owners, at no cost. We will help you think strategically about how to grow your businesses and enjoy continued success.
