The Cyber Defense Concentration at JSCC focuses on protecting computer networks from security breaches. We teach students how to prevent attacks from cyber terrorists or other intruders, as well as how to recover data if a breach does occur. These skills prepare graduates for tech industry careers.

The Cyber Defense Concentration will focus on cyber security and digital forensics topics. Students will learn how to fortify computer networks to prevent security breaches from cyber terrorists or intruders. In addition, students will learn how to recover data using digital forensics techniques. Students will also develop strong critical thinking skills and learn by doing within a hands-on lab environment, along with real-world internship experiences. Statistics are based on state averages from the Tennessee Career Information Delivery System. Salaries are not guaranteed.
