These scholarships were created for underrepresented students at Jackson State Community College. The college applies to the Tennessee Board of Regents each year for continued funding administered by the college's Diversity Committee.
This scholarship is awarded based on a Weighted Matrix that includes points for Financial Need, Non-Traditional Students (Age 23+), 1st Generation College Student, Military Service, and Time to JSCC degree completion.
For Fall 2024, the Scholarship Application deadline is August 1, 2024. Recipients of the scholarships will be notified via campus email by August 15, 2024.

JSCC Foundation Scholarships
These scholarships are provided by the Jackson State Community College Foundation and are intended to increase access to Jackson State. They are made possible by contributions from businesses, civic organizations, clubs, and individuals in the college service area. These scholarships are reserved for students who are seeking their first associate's degree.

Academic Service Scholarship
This scholarship is a state-funded program that requires 75 hours of service to the college each semester. Preference is given to students who apply by March 15th and who meet one of the following criteria: (1) Incoming freshmen who have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) and, have an ACT composite score of 19 or above. (2) JSCC sophomores who have a 3.0 GPA or better. (3) HSE (formerly called GED) of 510 or above.
Athletic Scholarships
These scholarships are offered by the Jackson State Athletic Department for men's and women's basketball, as well as women's softball and men's baseball. Contact the athletic department at (731) 425-2649 for additional information. Athletes are also encouraged to apply for federal student aid.
