AAC Peer Tutoring
The AAC offers JSCC students FREE tutoring in as many disciplines as we can enlist tutors. To request a tutor, please fill out the Tutoring Request form. Ms. Jeannette Stone will work with you to set an appropriate appointment.
Testing Appointment Request for Students
Please complete our testing appointment request from if you need to take a proctored exam at the JSCC Testing Center. You will need to complete a separate request for each specific exam that you need to take. The Testing Center cannot guarantee that your preferred time will be available especially during busy times of the semester. It is important for you to schedule your exam as far in advance as possible, but all exams should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Coordinate with the Office of Disability Resources prior to scheduling your appointment if you are requesting any type of testing accommodations.

Testing Center Hours
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Wednesday and Friday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
- If testing at the Lexington, Savannah, or Gibson County Centers please check with them regarding their specific testing hours.

General Testing Procedures
Identification Requirements
- A valid JSCC student ID or government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or ID card) is required for all proctored testing sessions.
Personal Belongings
- All personal items including phones, bags, books, papers, coats, caps, watches, and purses must be secured in locked storage provided by the Testing Center.
- No personal items are allowed in the testing area, unless approved by the course instructor.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the testing area.
- Writing implements and scratch paper will be supplied by the Testing Center and must be returned to a proctor before you leave.
Children
- Children are not permitted in the Testing Center and cannot be left unattended. Students must make childcare arrangements prior to testing.
Proctoring Fees
- All courtesy exams are charged a $20 proctoring fee. This fee must be paid to the JSCC Business Office, which is located in the Administration building. The student must give their recent to the Testing Center staff member prior to being seated for their exam.

Current or potential JSCC students who choose to have their ACCUPLACER placement exams remotely proctored by Meazure Learning will be charged a proctoring fee of $29.50 per session. Additional fees may be charged if an appointment is requested within 72 hours. These fees must be paid by the student prior to scheduling an appointment.
Appointments
- An appointment is required for all proctored exams. If appointments are not made beforehand, you may need to ask the student to make an appointment and return at a later time.
- JSCC students should schedule appointments for proctored exams at least 24 hours in advance. TN eCampus and courtesy exams should be scheduled at least 3 days in advance to ensure the Testing Center has all the required information from the institution/ instructor to proctor the exam.
- Students who are more than 30 minutes late for their appointment may be asked to reschedule.
- Students must begin their proctored exams at least 2 hours before the Testing Center closes (earlier if the allowed timeframe for the exam is more than 1.5 hours).
- Once a student receives or begins their exam, they cannot leave the Testing Center without submitting their exam to the proctor or pausing their online exam.
- Students may not leave the Testing Center and return to finish their exam later, without written permission from the instructor.
- If a student does need to leave the Testing Center for any purpose during their exam, they are not allowed to take any personal items with them.
Exam Proctoring Request Form for Faculty
Please complete our exam proctoring request form if you would like to have the Testing Center proctor an exam for one or more of your students. A separate request should be completed for each individual assignment; however, multiple students can be included on the same request for an individual assignment. In order to ensure that the Testing Center is able to assist as many people as possible, please complete this request as soon as possible, but at least 1 week in advance of the date the exam will be available for students. Any student(s) receiving accommodations must coordinate with the Office of Disability Resources prior to scheduling an appointment for testing.
