The Lexington-Henderson County Center of Jackson State opened in April 1999, through the cooperation of Jackson State, the City of Lexington, and Henderson County. The center is located on Hwy 412 East just outside of downtown Lexington. The facility is equipped with the latest in educational technology, including computer laboratories, a science laboratory, spacious classrooms, testing facilities, library and learning resource areas.
The center offers an Associate Degree in General Studies. Other general education courses are also offered that meet requirements of additional degrees offered through Jackson State main campus or other universities.
Both online and video courses are available. Specialized courses in continuing education can be tailored to meet the needs of the community.

Students requiring an Accuplacer placement test can do so at the Center.
Looking to earn college credit or even a full Associate Degree while in high school? We offer a robust Dual Enrollment and Middle College opportunities through our Lexington Center.
Our staff are trained to advise students and assist them with the registration process each semester. Students can register online with the assistance from Center staff and receive a copy of their schedule before leaving.
Fee payment and assistance for account balances, can also be done at the Center.
Registration and change of schedule can also be done online in the Learning Resource Center on-site.
The Learning Resource Center provides services to our students including testing, research assistance, computer and internet access, recreational reading and reference books. Students may also access resource material through computer links to the main campus.
