The Network Computer Technician Certificate program at Jackson State Community College equips students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in computer networking and IT support. Through a carefully designed curriculum, students will delve into topics such as:

  • Introduction to Networking: Understanding network architectures, protocols, and basic networking concepts.
  • A+ Hardware and Software: Hands-on experience in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and software configuration.
  • CCNA I and CCNA II: Comprehensive training in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) protocols and technologies.
  • Windows Server Administration: Learning to manage and maintain Windows server environments, including user accounts, file systems, and network services

With 18 credit hours, students will gain practical experience through lab-based learning and real-world projects. Upon completing the program, graduates will be prepared to pursue entry-level positions in IT support, network administration, and related fields.
