Fiber Optic Training at JSCC
Workforce Solutions is proud to offer top-quality fiber optics training in collaboration with BDI DataLynk. Since 1999, BDI has delivered Fiber Optic Training Courses endorsed by the Fiber Optic Association (FOA). These courses provide students with a comprehensive understanding of fiber installation standards through hands-on skills labs, lectures, and foundational studies, thoroughly preparing them for the FOA certification exams.
Workforce Solutions has been offering the CFOT, CFOS/T, and CFOS/S five-day boot camp for over four years. During this time, utility and communications providers in the area have sent many of their technicians to this program.
A quality program like BDI, available locally, enables technicians to receive world-class training while staying in their community.
As of 2025, Workforce Solutions will offer the CFOS/O (Outside Plant Cabling) and CFOS/H (Fiber to the Home) certifications. This reflects a commitment to delivering world-class training to the people of West Tennessee.
