The Associate of Arts/Science in Social Work is designed for students pursuing a career devoted to helping vulnerable people and communities. Students can complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree in a community college setting and transfer to a four-year college or university where they can complete a bachelor's degree in social work before seeking state licensure. Social work offers various career options in child welfare, mental health, substance abuse, healthcare, advocacy, policy development, counseling, and community development.
