The Associate of Science in Teaching is a two-year degree program designed for students planning on earning a baccalaureate degree from a four-year institution in preparation for a teaching career in elementary education. Students desiring to teach in secondary education should choose an emphasis on the particular discipline in which they hope to teach. For example, if you plan to teach high school history, you will want to pursue an associate degree with a history major.
