To apply for admission as a first-time freshman at JSCC, you will typically need to follow these steps:

1. Obtain an application 

Visit the JSCC website to find the online application form. 

2. Complete the application. 

Fill out the application form accurately, providing all required information, including personal details, educational background, and contact information. 

3. Submit supporting documents. 

Along with the application, submit additional documents as required. This may include high school transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, and other requested materials. Check with JSCC's admissions office for specific instructions. 

4. Review Deadlines 

Be aware of JSCC's application deadlines. Ensure you submit your application and supporting documents before the specified deadline to be considered for admission. 

5. Wait for a Decision 

After submission, JSCC's admissions office will review your materials. You will receive an admission decision via mail or email. If accepted, you may also receive information about next steps, such as orientation and enrollment. 

 

First-time Freshmen: Admission Requirement Details

Steps for First-time Freshmen Admission 

1. Submit a free admissions application. 

Complete the online application, accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. Embracing technology is an efficient and hassle-free process. 

2. Submit official high school transcripts or equivalency scores. 

As part of admission requirements, provide documents like high school transcripts or equivalent credentials. Admissions recruiters are available for guidance. Some programs may have specific prerequisites. 

3. Submit official ACT scores (must be less than five years old). 

Scores in English, math, and reading are used for course placement. Options for test submission include ACT/SAT scores or placement exams. Accuplacer tests are available if ACT scores are not current. Enroll in support labs while taking connected college-level classes. To sign up for Accuplacer, call (731) 425-2614 for an appointment. 

4. Submit proof of citizenship. 

Provide a copy of your driver's license, state-issued ID, or birth certificate as proof of citizenship.
