$3,000 Transfer Scholarship for Jackson State Students

Jackson, Tenn. (January 24, 2022) - Leadership from Jackson State Community College, Dyersburg State Community College, and the University of Memphis met at UofM-Lambuth to establish the One Step Closer initiative recognizing the partnership between 2-year and 4-year institutions as a best practice for transfer student success for many years.

This program guarantees admission to the University of Memphis for students with a 2.0 GPA or higher and waives the application fee for One Step Closer students. Additionally, students in the program with a 3.25 GPA at the end of their Associate degree will receive a $3,000 scholarship to UofM, as well as early access to many of the support services that UofM offers.
