Jackson State Community College (JSCC) has named Thaddeus Jefferson as Director of Recruitment, bringing to the role more than 15 years of enrollment management experience from institutions across the southeast.

“We are incredibly excited to have Thaddeus join the team,” said Seth Harden, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management. “He brings a wealth of knowledge to the team along with a vibrant personality that is backed by a proven track record of success. He will be a great asset to our growing team, and I can’t wait to see the impact he makes here at Jackson State.”

Jefferson, a Holly Springs, Mississippi native, has spent his career working nearly every role within the college admissions and recruitment process, most recently as the Senior Director of Admissions and Recruitment for South Carolina State University. He began his career at Rust College in his hometown as the Director of Admissions, and then returned later in his career as the Director of Recruitment and Outreach Programs where he directly impacted the college’s enrollment by nearly doubling it.

He is no stranger to the Tennessee College System, having also worked in Memphis at Tennessee College of Applied Technology and at Southwest TN Community College.

“I’m happy to be back in Tennessee doing what I love to do – recruiting the next generation of college students,” said Jefferson. “There’s so much untapped potential here at Jackson State, and an incredible team to make it all happen. I can’t wait to work closely with everyone and keep driving Jackson State forward.”

Jefferson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Rust College and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University.
